Sydney, Australia - 3 and Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today introduced the BlackBerry® 8707g smartphone to 3’s customers in Australia at significant cost savings with select plans. 3 is also offering BlackBerry® Enterprise Server free of charge, including installation and a five-user license, to businesses that activate five or more users on one of 3’s service plans for BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
Available today, the BlackBerry 8707g smartphone provides easy wireless access to phone, email, text messaging, organiser, Web browsing and other mobile applications. Customers can purchase the BlackBerry 8707g smartphone on a 24 month contract on any 3 Cap, TalkBusiness or Business Shared Cap Plan and is free to customers on a $49 cap or $60 TalkBusiness plan or above.
All plans include unlimited email in 3’s Broadband zones and 3’s networks overseas, varying voice call inclusions and 2GB of data. Customers can choose service on either BlackBerry Enterprise Server or BlackBerry® Internet Service with the plans.
Designed for corporate customers with their own IT environments, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server software tightly integrates with IBM Lotus® Domino®, Microsoft® Exchange and Novell GroupWise® and works with existing enterprise systems to enable secure, push-based wireless access to email, organizer and other applications.
An ideal solution for individuals and small businesses that do not manage their own servers, BlackBerry® Internet Service allows users to access up to 10 supported ISP and web-based email accounts, such as Bigpond, iiNet, Yahoo!® Mail and Gmail, from a single device.

Unlimited Email in ‘3 Like Home’ countries
In addition to unlimited email in 3’s Broadband Zones, customers travelling overseas can also get unlimited emails overseas when they are on the 3 network in other 3 countries such as the UK, Hong Kong, Italy, Sweden, Austria, Denmark or Ireland. Customers will also get rates for voice calls similar to rates at home.
